Anaconda Python If you are new to Python, you may prefer to use an all-in-one Python Distribution, we have tested Akvo with Anaconda Python:

  • Install Anaconda Python https://www.anaconda.com/ which is available for Linux, Mac OSX, and Windows. Make sure you grab the Python 3 installer.
  • From the Anaconda Navigator, set up a new Environment that contains both R and Python 3.
  • Configure your Anaconda Environment, to do this, open up an Anaconda Terminal (Command Line) and type
conda install -c anaconda cmake git

Install the MSVC build tools. A free version is available if you qualify: https://www.visualstudio.com/downloads/#build-tools-for-visual-studio-2017 Note that this guide assumes the use of the command line tools (CLI) only, although it is also possible to use the MSVC IDE as well.

Install the vs2017_win-64 package

cmake ..\Lemma -G "Visual Studio 15 2017 Win64"
